Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Draft notice: This page is a starting template. Please have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer — particularly the governing law and liability sections — before publishing.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or submitting a record application to Yazhi Book of World Records, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Applying for a Record
- Submitting an application does not guarantee record recognition. Applications are reviewed at our discretion against our published guidelines.
- You confirm that all information and evidence you submit is accurate and genuinely your own to submit.
- We may request additional information or evidence at any stage of review, and may decline, suspend, or archive an application that does not meet our standards.
3. Conduct of Record Attempts
Record attempts are planned and carried out by applicants at their own risk. Applicants are solely responsible for the safety of their attempt and for complying with all applicable laws, venue requirements and regulations. Yazhi does not supervise attempts in person and is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from an attempt.
4. Evidence & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the evidence, photographs and other materials you submit. By submitting them, you grant Yazhi a non-exclusive licence to review, store and — where a record is approved — publish relevant details (excluding private evidence files) on our public website and in related materials.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to submit false or misleading information, attempt to access other applicants' data, interfere with the operation of this website, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
This website and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yazhi disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or participation in a record attempt. [This section should be reviewed and expanded by a lawyer for your jurisdiction.]
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Governing Law
[Specify governing law and jurisdiction here, e.g. the laws of India / Tamil Nadu, with a named competent court, once confirmed with your legal advisor.]
9. Contact
